New Under Armour Fishing Gear

Yay for new gear!!! A shipment of new Under Armour Fishing gear arrived the other day. Excited to get all the new gear for 2016. This will be year two for me in Under Armour Fishing apparel. So far, the stuff is amazing. And this year, they've added even more fly fishing type gear. More button downs, more techy shirts, hoody shirts, etc. And I am loving it all. For that matter, all the Under Armour stuff I have been rocking has been great; running shoes, flip flops, street wear, outerwear, etc. Really digging everything I have thus far. And I am looking forward to continuing to work with them

Rockport Fishing Report – January 13th, 2016

Bob, milking every last second of fly fishing on this fine day Here is your latest Rockport Fishing Report... We have been blessed with a pretty nice run of warm days here lately in Rockport, TX. Mornings remain a little chilly, but the highs have been reaching the mid 60's, which has helped the fishing quite a bit. And winds, all be it from the North still, have remained very light. Combine all that, and your Rockport fishing report is pretty damn good for mid January. No need to get out on the water too early lately. With the cooler temps in the morning, you will do far

Rockport Fishing Report – January 4th, 2016

Carlisle with his first redfish. A stud caught near Rockport, TX Finally a sunnier Rockport fishing report! The sun did in fact show itself today. And what a difference that makes for the fishing. We had targets right out of the gate this morning, and consistently all day. They were a bit sluggish early, due to cooler temps, but the right cast could draw an eat. They were a little tight though. As the day warmed up, so did the fish. They were more and more active as temps rose. More fish cruising shallow, a few tails up and certainly showing more interest in a well presented fly.

Rockport, TX Fishing Report – December 26th, 2015

Rick shows off his first ever redfish. I hope everyone had a nice Christmas. The Rockport, TX fishing report remains pretty good through the holiday. The temps have remained quite warm here in the greater Rockport area. We have also had a series of inversions which have made things a little funky out there. This has produced a bunch of fog in the mornings, making the fishing pretty tough. But once the sun comes out, so do the redfish. We have another day or so of warm weather, but very high winds. This will be blowing in a bit of a cold front for early next week. Temps

Rockport Fishing Report – December 22nd, 2015

Searching deep into the creeks around Rockport, TX So here is your pre-Christmas Rockport fishing report... Despite some less than desirable weather the past few days, fishing has remained pretty good. Not great, but ok. The change in pressure has spooked some of the fish for sure. But we are still finding plenty of targets around. It just might take a little extra looking, or some crafty water selections. A few of the fish today were a bit more touchy than normal. Sometimes as to be expected with changing weather patterns. But a few had us scratching our heads a little bit. But again, the opportunities were

Rockport Fishing Report – December 13th, 2015

Another evening solo mission proves successful Your Rockport fishing report remains pretty solid. Fishing has remained quite good, with the warm weather. Plenty of fish in shallow, which means lots of targets. In the right water, we are seeing some fairly decent sized schools of fish cruising the flats as well. We have a little bit of a front moving through this weekend, bringing with it a bunch of wind and more rain than anticipated. But temps have remained warm throughout. So this is of little concern. It is expected to blow out of here Sunday afternoon. Your Rockport fishing report is looking good for the upcoming week.

Its amazing what a little sunshine will do! The past few days have been clear, warmer and low winds. This has enabled us to fish pretty much anywhere we want with very good success. We are seeing plenty of fish in shallow throughout the day. Tailing fish can be seen in the right water. And reds crashing bait in the grass has been a mainstay throughout the day. These fish are eating, and eating

Adam with his first Redfish on the fly in Rockport, TX Finally a break in the weather! And the Texas fly fishing in Rockport is back on track. Today was the first day in a long run of nice days coming up. And maybe the first day we have seen the sun in well over a week. Kind of a nice bonus, while Texas fly fishing. Rockport Fishing Report – December 1st, 2015

This crap weather has got to go!!! I'm getting a little tired of these "tough" Rockport fishing reports. I'm also getting a little tired of this cold weather. I assume the fish are as well. This has been a pretty long push of cold weather for us, this time of year. It has made the fly fishing quite tough. This means a lot of searching, for few fish in shallow. But persistence will pay off... eventually. You can sneak a few trout out here and there, if you are willing to blind cast. But the sight fishing is really tough with these storms overhead. The good news is, the end
