Just a quick update to our Rockport Fishing Report for folks, as we have gotten quite a few calls and messages asking for info. But yes, we do have a bit of a weather problem for the next few days. So here is where we are at, and what we see headed forward, in the near future for fly fishing in Rockport and the surrounding area.
As this is being written, it is pouring rain outside. This started mid afternoon down here on the coast, and will be with us for a good while. As it stands now, we have had to cancel all of our trips through Saturday. We are looking at 5-7″ of rain over the course of the next few days they are saying. We’ll see if that happens or not of course. But either way, it is nasty down here. So there is no reason to be fishing here for the next few days.
If you believe the weather man, things begin to break late Saturday down here. So we are still planning on being on the water again Sunday and on. The weather Sunday should be much improved and it’s looking great heading into next week.
Due to weather, shuffling schedules and cancelations, we do now have some boats open for Sunday and into next week. So let us know if you would like to get out on the water. We can make it happen. And of course we are always prepared for those last second trips as well.
