Rockport Fly Fishing Report – Nov 22nd

Well we asked for some Fall weather, and look what we got. It sucks outside!!!

So this may be a pretty quick and painless Rockport Fly Fishing report for the week. But since we have some time on our hands, why not at least do something with this thing we suppose?

The weather is the big story lately. Today marked day number 11 in a row that we have had to cancel all of our trips. And we still have the remainder of this week that it looks like we will be kept off the water with weather as well. Not exactly what we would expect for our Fall fishing season.

It’s one thing to get a cold front here or there. But these things are stacking up like waves and just continually pounding on us. So we have no choice but to sit and wait.

There has been lots of fly trying. Lots of napping. Lots of pacing back and fourth in the house. Capt. Jeff was gonna fly to Key West just to try and get away from the weather, but its raining there too! So, back to the sitting and waiting. It’s even too crappy out to golf! And a few of our guys really love to golf.

It looks like we can finally dust the skiffs off this coming weekend. But who knows if that will change before then. But as of the time of this writing, we are fishing Saturday… FINALLY. So we will get some boats out on the water and hopefully be able to report back early next week with some fishy intel.

Happy Thanksgiving to all, from all of us here at Fly Fish Rockport. We are thankful for everyone that helps make this possible and spends time with us on the water.

We will continue to report back as we can with what we are seeing out there. Also, we have a new series of videos coming to our Youtube channel as well. Something kinda funny and different to do. Flyfishing is not serious. Or at least it shouldn’t be. So we are gonna have a little fun and make a few funny videos based on the lighter side of red fishing.
