So here is your pre-Christmas Rockport fishing report…
Despite some less than desirable weather the past few days, fishing has remained pretty good. Not great, but ok. The change in pressure has spooked some of the fish for sure. But we are still finding plenty of targets around. It just might take a little extra looking, or some crafty water selections.
A few of the fish today were a bit more touchy than normal. Sometimes as to be expected with changing weather patterns. But a few had us scratching our heads a little bit. But again, the opportunities were certainly there. Just need to make sure you take advantage of them, as they may not be as plentiful due to the tougher conditions.
The weather over the holidays is looking pretty good. Hopefully some of this unsteady/cloudy stuff blows off and leaves us a little sunshine to go along with warm temps. I know the fish, and this guide, would really appreciate it. Overall, the Rockport fishing report and fishing outlook is looking pretty good. The weather is doing what we would like, for the most part. It will remain warm and keep the fish pretty happy.
If you are in town and looking to get out over the holidays, I do have a day or two open still. So if you are interested in fly fishing Rockport contact us and we can get you on the water.
