Port Aransas Redfish

James with a nice red near Port Aransas, TX

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Now for your up to date Rockport, Texas fishing report.

Fishing remains very good in the Rockport area. Although we have had a little weather coming and going lately. We recently experienced a little cold front passing through for a couple of days. This brought with it some rain, heavy North winds and very cold temps. But despite that, we were still able to get out and find some fish.

Now, we are again saddled with a little bit of weather. Temps will remain warm, but we are stuck with a bunch of clouds, wind and rain here and there. Not the best for getting out and doing a little sight fishing. But we are hopeful that there will be a few windows of opportunity out there.

As the weather again improves in the coming days, expect these redfish and trout to be hungry… very hungry. The days just after a storm can be outstanding, with fish aggressively feeding on most everything they see. You will want to be here for that. But stay tuned and keep your fingers crossed that your next Rockport, Texas fishing report has a bit rosier weather.
