Slot red near Rockport, TX

It appears that Spring has finally decided to stick around a little while. Temps in the upper 70’s to low 80’s have become the norm… finally. We certainly appreciate it. And I know the fish do as well.

We are starting to see even better numbers of fish on the flats in the greater Rockport area. Great numbers of reds, trout, drum and sheephead are around and eating flies well. With the warmer days/nights being the norm, our water temps are climbing up and making the fish a bit happier. This means we are finding fish a little more willing to eat a well presented fly.

On the days that the clouds and wind cooperate, fishing has been good. So feel free to give me a call to get some dates on the calendar.
