We finally have strung a few nicer days together as of late. Today’s high temps reaching the low to mid 80’s, depending on where you were. After a few nice days in a row, the fish seem to be taking notice. We found a real good number of fish in shallow today. Also, more really nice fish than I had been seeing as of late. Some nice fish were schooled up and cruising the flats very near some soft mud. But even better, we found some of the largest fish tails up on the flats looking for food. Most were solo and facing into the wind. But these fish were fairly cooperative.
A few more very nice days in the near future. I am out on the water every day through Thursday this week. Stay tuned for more updates as the warm weather continues. With a front coming in on Friday, those fish should really want to eat before hand. Thursday could be “The Day”.
